Grades are cumulative riding under freewheel constraints. Still sitting with the brake locked against a wall is a setup drill, and seals begin when the freewheel is in motion. Early mounts stay static with the brake on (one pedal down, one up). Every grade after the gate mixes scrubbing with the brake and floating in a coast. Posture passes when the back stays straight, the torso stays long and open, forward tip into motion and brake work means the shoulders commit over the wheel—often more boldly than feels natural after confident fixed riding—and rearward correction under scrub lives in the butt and seat. Braking practice starts already tipped forward into the first release, then shifts weight farther back in the seat as each pulse hardens; if mass ends up behind the contact patch, gravity accelerates a heavy, hard-to-control dump. Early grades may keep the lever busy; later grades lengthen brakeless coast and pedal stretches as the hand relaxes. Stand-jump and rolling-jump mounts belong in FW3.
- Pass prior grades before claiming the next seal.
- Declare wheel size, hub, brake, and surface when attesting.
- Checks stay on this device (localStorage); export a certificate when a grade completes.
- Think through why you fell and remember it.

Fixed gear
Setup drill (warm-up)
Fail G0.1–G0.4 and stay on fixed. Use G0.5 as warm-up every freewheel session.
FW1 Start Shoulders-forward start, assisted coast, first free float 0/6
Pass when starts and early stops keep mass over the wheel with a long torso (when mass sits behind the contact patch, gravity accelerates the backward tip into a heavy dump) and a short free coast exists.
FW2 Brake–coast Scrub, float, free pedals, crank positions 0/7
Pass when brake, coast, and free-crank feel belong to the same ride, braking keeps the torso long with an honest seat shift, and the lever may stay busy early then quiet into longer coasts.
FW3 Continuous Distance, crank-flip under held brake, uphill restore 0/6
Pass when the brake hand is boring and uphill fade does not end the outing.
FW4 Terrain & options Undulation, hop, long float, electives 0/4 req

Electives (at least one)
Seal FW4 when all required tasks are checked and at least one elective is logged.
